Title: University Chair of Innovative Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer with Emphasis on Patentable Projects Authors: Bravo Silva, José Luis; Navarro del Toro, Guillermo José; Cortés Palacios, Elba Martina Abstract: ABSTRACT The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic was a critical period that caused a significant disruption to almost all human activities. In the area of higher education, uncertainty about the return to face-to-face classes led to the suspension of many essential university activities. Among the most affected were those related to innovative projects to start entrepreneurship, which essentially came to a complete halt. Given this situation, and with the return to face-to-face activities, the Center for Research and Innovation for Organizations at the Centro Universitario de los Altos launched a comprehensive strategy aimed at reactivating and strengthening the entrepreneurial culture on and off campus. This article discusses the implementation of a methodology framed within a dialectical approach based on applied research, with components of participatory action research, strengthened by programs aimed at promoting, encouraging, and advising both internal and external entrepreneurial initiatives. Likewise, the participation of student teams in business innovation competitions was promoted, in addition to various actions aimed at professionalizing the processes of creation and management of productive projects. These actions include obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification in management of entrepreneurial initiatives, with the aim of raising the quality of the projects developed, especially those with the potential to become patentable innovations. These initiatives seek to actively contribute to the regional development of Los Altos de Jalisco and the strategic positioning of CUAltos as a benchmark in innovation and university education RESUMEN La pandemia provocada por el SARS-CoV-2 constituyó un periodo crítico que generó una interrupción significativa de casi todas las actividades humanas. En el ámbito de la educación superior, la incertidumbre respecto al retorno a clases presenciales presenció la suspensión de múltiples actividades universitarias esenciales. Entre las más afectadas estuvieron aquellas vinculadas con los proyectos innovadores para iniciar a emprender, las cuales en esencia se detuvieron por completo. Ante este panorama, y con el regreso a las actividades presenciales, el Centro de Investigación e Innovación para las Organizaciones del Centro Universitario de los Altos puso en marcha una estrategia integral orientada a reactivar y fortalecer la cultura empresarial dentro y fuera del campus. Este artículo habla de la implementación de una metodología enmarcada en un enfoque dialéctico sustentado en la investigación aplicada, con componentes de una vivida investigación-acción participativa, fortalecida por programas orientados a fomentar, impulsar y asesorar iniciativas emprendedoras tanto internas como externas. Asimismo, se promovió la participación de equipos estudiantiles en concursos sobre innovación empresarial, además de diversas acciones encaminadas a profesionalizar los procesos de creación y gestión de proyectos productivos. Entre estas acciones se destaca la obtención de la certificación ISO 9001:2015 en gestión sobre las iniciativas de emprendimiento, con el propósito de elevar la calidad de los proyectos desarrollados, sobre todo en aquellos con potencial de convertirse en innovaciones patentables. Con estas iniciativas, se busca contribuir de manera activa al desarrollo regional de Los Altos de Jalisco y al posicionamiento estratégico del CUAltos como un referente en innovación y universitario. Case Study for Center University of Los Altos Authors: Navarro del Toro, Guillermo José; Valenzuela Chavira, Ignacio; Bravo Silva, José Luis; Valle, Gabriela Abstract: ABSTRACT Today in higher education there is a need for a higher quality preparation that adapts to the new educational philosophies, since the New Mexican School and the University Center of Los Altos (CUAltos) of the University of Guadalajara, have as an objective, to provide the conditions for the student of any area of knowledge to become a generator of new knowledge that lead to entrepreneurship. CUAltos has proposed a model based on five axes, the first one, the university, which is where plans, study programs, administrative policies, administrative, teaching and research personnel intervene, with the student as the main objective, the second axis, the industry, which is the key to the development of nations and demands highly qualified professionals, and the third axis, the government, which finances the public university, the government that funds the public university and develops policies that benefit productivity and national development, the fourth axis, the media responsible for promoting academic and cultural advances and technological innovation, and finally, socio-ecology that highlights the importance of the environment and its relationship with innovation in the knowledge economy. This model is considered essential to offer the best answers required by a society that is increasingly involved in improving the quality of life and care of the planet. This research adopts a mixed and transversal approach, based on surveys directed to students of different specialties that have been studied in the development of Entrepreneurship and Innovation projects. Likewise, it seeks to generate conditions that allow students, regardless of their area of knowledge, to become creators of new knowledge that drive the development of dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems based on academic entrepreneurship. RESUMEN Hoy en día en la educación superior existe la necesidad de una preparación de mayor calidad que se adapte a las nuevas filosofías educativas, ya que, la Nueva Escuela Mexicana y el Centro Universitario de los Altos (CUAltos) de la Universidad de Guadalajara, tienen como objetivo: el propiciar las condiciones para que el estudiante de cualquier área del conocimiento se convierta en un generador de nuevos conocimientos que desemboquen en emprendimientos junto a analizar una formación en diversas carreras y poder hacer una evaluación en la promoción en el emprendimiento. CUAltos ha propuesto un modelo basado en cinco ejes, el primero, la universidad que es en donde intervienen planes, programas de estudios, políticas administrativas, personal administrativo, docente y de investigación, con el estudiante como objetivo principal de crear al profesionista idóneo para el mundo laboral, el segundo eje, la industria que es clave de desarrollo de las naciones y demanda de profesionales altamente calificados, el tercero, el gobierno que financia la universidad pública y desarrolla políticas que benefician la productividad y el desarrollo nacional, el cuarto eje, los medios de comunicación responsables de promocionar los avances académicos, culturales y la innovación tecnológica, y por último, la socio-ecología que resalta la importancia del medio ambiente y su relación con la innovación en la economía del conocimiento. Este modelo, se considera esencial para ofrecer la mejor de las respuestas que requiere la sociedad que está cada vez más involucrada en mejorar la calidad de vida y el cuidado del planeta. Title: Creating exponential value and mapping entrepreneurial competencies: A methodological proposal from the classroom to the advanced public university Authors: Bravo Silva, José Luis; Cortés Palacios, Elba Martina; Navarro Del Toro, Guillermo José Abstract: Abstract The entrepreneurship is consolidating itself as a fundamental strategy to mitigate unemployment, growing structurally and driving economic development. This requires strengthening cross-cutting and specialized skills during university education to increase the probability of success in consolidating sustainable ventures. However, in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, young people face obstacles due to limited practical experience and the current skills gap, which compromises the viability and continuity of innovative projects. This research seeks to assess the level of development of entrepreneurial skills, focusing on the final year of degrees in Administration, Public Accounting and Finance, Management and Public Policy, Business, Marketing, and Sustainable Tourism at public universities, specifically those who actively participate in institutional programs on entrepreneurial development. It analyzes the presence of gender gaps among young entrepreneurs, highlighting the differences in skills between students with and without previous experience. A non-probabilistic quantitative design was applied to 210 students using a structured digital survey. Data analysis used two-stage clustering techniques, identifying five distinct groups that were statistically validated using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The findings show that public higher education has effectively institutionalized the entrepreneurial paradigm, facilitating the acquisition of professional, methodological, communicative, personal and collaborative skills for most students, revealing a superiority in skills among male participants and those with previous business experience, suggesting differentiating factors. Consequently, a curriculum reengineering is recommended to incorporate specialized modules in the identification, development, and materialization of business opportunities, promoting the successful labor market insertion of graduates, both in self-employment and in the traditional-market labor, contributing to strengthening of national entrepreneurial ecosystem.
