Análisis descriptivo del examen EGEL-COMPU y su testimonio de desempeño

Abstract

Resumen El presente artículo refiere al análisis realizado a los resultados obtenidos en el examen EGEL-COMPU sustentado por ingenieros en computación de un centro universitario del occidente de México. El objetivo de la investigación atendió la necesidad de encontrar la relación entre el nivel de desempeño conseguido por los estudiantes y los puntajes alcanzados en las áreas: DSA, DSBDE y SPCT, mismas que componen el examen mencionado. El estudio de temporalidad longitudinal recopiló datos de cinco generaciones (2013B-2017B), con un registro de 132 estudiantes, además, se observó el comportamiento de los datos cuando se utiliza como clasificador el sexo y promedio de los alumnos. Los resultados que se exponen se obtuvieron al aplicar el método holístico como guía para realizar la investigación y técnicas de análisis de datos cuantitativos en función de la información con la que se contaba, en este sentido, los resultados muestran que existe una correlación alta entre el testimonio de desempeño alcanzado por los estudiantes y las áreas DSA e SPCT; el promedio de egreso de los alumnos y el sexo, no son determinantes en el testimonio que obtienen en el CENEVAL. Finalmente, se recomienda ampliar la investigación para encontrar explicaciones concluyentes donde se consideren otras variables. Abstract This article refers to the analysis conducted on the results obtained in the EGEL-COMPU exam supported by computer engineers from a university center in western Mexico. The objective of the research addressed the need to find the relationship between the level of performance obtained by the students and the scores achieved in the areas: DSA, DSBDE and SPCT, which make up the exam. The longitudinal temporality study collected data from five generations (2013B-2017B), with a record of 132 students, in addition, the behavior of the data was demonstrated when the sex and average of the students wereused as classifiers. The results that are exposed were needed when applying the holistic method as a guide to carry out the research and quantitative data analysis techniques based on theavailable, in this sense, the results show that there is a high connection between the testimony of performance achieved by the students and the DSA and SPCT areas; the graduation average of the students and the sex are not determining factors in the testimony obtained at CENEVAL. Finally, it is recommended to expand the investigation to find conclusions where other variables are considered
