Myriad branches of science have undergone substantial changes thanks to advanced nanotechnology. The synthesis and usage of nanoparticles (NPs), which have diverse uses, is a function of modern nanoscience and nanoengineering. Thanks to their distinct features, silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) have drawn a lot of curiosity. The green fabrication of Ag NPs employing extracts from therapeutic plants is the main topic of this chapter. Low toxicity, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, cost-effectiveness, high yields, and quick availability are only a few of the benefits of green fabricated Ag NPs. The influences of temperature, pH, light, incubation period, plant extracts, and silver nitrate concentrations on Ag NPs are discussed. The characterization of Ag NPs employing analytical tools is also covered in this chapter. Also taken into consideration are new developments in using biogenically synthesized Ag NPs from medicinal plants as bioremedial agents for dye and organic pollutant degradation. Finally, the challenges and opportunities for future study in the biogenic fabrication of Ag NPs are reviewed.es, en
