Consideraciones legales sobre la construcción y colocación de cenotafios y cruces en carreteras de Altos Sur de Jalisco, México

Abstract

RESUMEN: México destaca por su versátil y vasta cultura funeraria, no sólo por el ‘día de muertos’ sino por las vistosas construcciones de cenotafios, montículos, capillitas y colocación de cruces en los caminos donde ocurren accidentes que provocan la muerte de familiares o seres queridos. Este fenómeno es de origen prehispánico, impulsado durante la Colonia y extendido a culturas de los países latinoamericanos. Al comparar estos monumentos, se distinguen por su majestuosidad o sencillez, pero coincidentes en los significados de espiritualidad y religiosidad popular, mismos que han durado o perduran como expresiones y evidentes manifestaciones culturales. En este trabajo se considera importante investigar acerca de las consideraciones legales sobre las construcciones de monumentos y colocación de cruces en ambos lados de algunos tramos carreteros de la región Altos Sur de Jalisco, México, con el propósito de conocer la existencia o no de leyes, reglamentación municipal y/o lineamientos oficiales al respecto.

SUMMARY: Mexico stands out for its versatile and vast funerary culture, not only for the 'day of the dead' but for the colorful constructions of cenotaphs, mounds, chapels and placement of crossings in the roads where accidents occur that cause the death of relatives or loved ones. This phenomenon is of pre-Hispanic origin, promoted during the Colony and extended to cultures of Latin American countries. When comparing these monuments, they are distinguished by their majesty or simplicity, but coincide in the meanings of spirituality and popular religiosity, which have lasted or last as expressions and evident cultural manifestations. In this work it is considered important to investigate about the legal considerations on the constructions of monuments and placement of crossings on both sides of some road sections of the Altos Sur region of Jalisco, Mexico, with the purpose of knowing the existence or not of laws, municipal regulations and / or official guidelines in this regard.
